Charles Ekpo
Social Media Coordinator

Charles Ekpo holds a bachelor’s degree in history and international studies. He also has a master’s degree in Peace and Conflict Studies from the University of Ibadan, Ibadan, Nigeria. He is an assistant lecturer/acting coordinator of the Peace and Conflict Resolution Programme at Arthur Jarvis University, Akpabuyo – Nigeria. Charles is also a junior research fellow at the Africa Research Institute, Budapest. 

He is a 2023 fellow of CJID/Open Society’s Conflict and Human Rights Reporting as well as the 2022 fellow of Zoryan Institute’s Genocide and Human Rights Studies programme. 

Mr. Ekpo is a member of the Historical Society of Nigeria (HSN), the Society for Peace Studies and Practice (SPSP) and the Lagos Studies Association (LSA). Ekpo’s research revolves around politicization, peace and security studies, African history, and development studies. Ekpo’s recent works have appeared in Politics and Religion Journal; African Journal on Terrorism; Politics, Religion and Ideology; African Conflict and Peace Review (ACPR); and The Republic, among others. 

Mr. Ekpo has also contributed chapters to book projects published with Palgrave Macmillan, IGI Global, Springer Nature, and Lexington.
